We live in MI and would like to totally remodel our kitchen, 3 baths and add a sunroom. What is the best way for us to get the cash to do it. There is approx. 350K in equity in the home, 1st mortgage is 165K and I *think* it may be worth 500K. Should we get a home equity loan for this? We already have an estimate for the work and it looks like around 150K.
